You’ve probably been to YouTube and become overwhelmed with the seemingly endless pages of… crap. “How do people sift through all the content to find quality videos?” you ask yourself. The answer is some people just have a lot of time on their hands, but if you’re like most people, you don’t have that luxury. That’s where Hulu steps in.
They aim to provide users with the web’s most comprehensive selection of premium content, when, where, and how you want it. The site offers programming in all genres and formats like television shows, feature films, clips, and more. Hulu offers current prime time shows like The Office, Bionic Woman, and House, as well as episodes from TV classics like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Arrested Development and more. They’ve also partnered with premier content owners like E! Entertainment, FUEL TV, SciFi Network and USA Networks to add to their growing collection of superior programming.
The premium goodness doesn’t stop there though. On Hulu, you can customize the experience to fit your viewing preferences - like viewing videos in full screen, or popping out the player and placing it anywhere on your computer screen for multi-tasking. It even has a feature that allows you to dim the lights and mute the rest of the browser window so nothing distracts you from the video you’re watching. It’s really easy to share your favorite videos via email or embed them on your own website. You can even choose to share the entire video or just one scene. By selecting the share or embed feature, you have the option of selecting your own start and stop point in a video to create your own fun video clips.
Can’t wait to join? Hold your horses! Hulu is currently in beta and accessable by invitation only. You can get an invitation through TechCrunch.com, but hurry, they’re sure to go fast!
